Hello Friends and Fam!!
Happy New Year`s! I hope you all had a wonderful week and made some good resolutions for the year to come. We spent New Year's Eve with the landlord of our house haha! It was pretty awesome and we got to teach him and his family a little bit about the gospel. We brought in the New Year with my first apple cider here in Argentina! It was awesome. We also had tacos with our bishop and his family to celebrate New Year's day!
This week I had divisions with my Sister Training Leader and we saw so many miracles during the day! In just 3 hours we met every goal for the day, which usually never happens in our area. We found new people to teach and she shared some great advice with me. I will be staying in this same area for the next transfer and although it is hard, I learned a lot from that division and it gave me a lot of encouragement for the next transfer.
Spiritual experience:
On Sunday our mission president decided to come to our area and so we were able to spend the morning with him. We haven't had an investigator in church the whole time I have been in this area, but this week we had 1 investigator come!! Our president was able to talk with her and teach her a little bit and it was one of the most spiritual moments I have had in my mission. The love he has for the people here is so wonderful, and it really strengthened my testimony of the power that he holds as our leader in this mission.
Funny experiences:
During our bus ride after divisions Hermana Olivera got soo sick and had to throw up in this tiny bathroom and stick her head out a window haha. Poor thing.
On New Year`s Eve we had a district meeting so we had to travel to Bahia Blanca - which is an hour and a half from our area. When the meeting ended we called our bus to go back and they said they closed early. We called every train, bus, or form of transportation possible and they were all closed haha so we ended up taking a taxi for an hour and a half back to our area!!
We had a lesson with our investigator`s dad and we could hear her talking mad crap on us in the background. She says to him "if you don't kick them out, I will." We decided to just awkwardly end the lesson and leave haha. I have never felt so awkward in my entire life. The poor Dad wants us to come back and teach him but I don't know how we're going to get past our old investigator lol.
I hope you all have a wonderful week!! Love and miss you!
Love,
Hermana Spackman
